A story is told of a little girl who regularly attends Sunday school and was taught this song
“There is power mighty in the blood”

This little girl uses to sing this song at all times. One day as she was sent on an errand, as she usually does, she was singing her usual song, “There is power might in the blood” jumping and shaking her handkerchief.
In the same community there lived a very powerful traditional priest who was very powerful and for that reason was feared by the people in the community. As the girl was passing by the house of this priest, singing and shaking the handkerchief, mistakenly her handkerchief fell into the house of this powerful traditional priest. This little girl began to knock on the door of the priest and the man came out to meet her and asked her what she was looking for. She said her handkerchief has fell inside the house and she has come to take it. The man asked her, are you not afraid of me?
The little girl smiled and answered him, my Sunday school teacher taught me that I should not be afraid because the blood of Jesus is so powerful over everything. The girl asked the man do you believe it? The traditional priest also laughed and said it is never true, there is no power in the blood of Jesus. The man asked the girl to wait as he goes to bring her the handkerchief. When the priest touched the handkerchief of the girl, he felt a shock like electric power in his body and was not able to pick up the handkerchief. It happened three times and the priest came and called the little girl to come and picked the handkerchief not knowing what had happened to the priest, picked the handkerchief and started singing her song again “There is power mighty in the blood”.
The man asked the little girl where she goes to Church and the girl directed him. On the next Sunday, the priest went to the Church, gave himself to Christ and testify about what happened between himself and the little, and confessed that of the truth there is power in the blood of Jesus.
“For if the sprinkling of defiled persons with the blood of goats and bulls and with the ashes of a heifer sanctifies for the purification of the flesh, 14 how much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without blemish to God, purify our conscience from dead works to serve the living God. [Hebrews 9:13-14E.S. V.]
