“Now there was in the citadel of Susa a Jew of the tribe of
Benjamin, named Mordecai son of Jair, the son of Shimei, the son of Kish, 6 who had been carried into exile from
Jerusalem by Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, among those taken captive with
Jehoiachin king of Judah. NIV 2 And all his
acts of power and might, together with a full account of the greatness of
Mordecai to which the king had raised him, are they not written in the book of
the annals of the kings of Media and Persia? 3 Mordecai the Jew was second in rank to King Xerxes,
preeminent among the Jews, and held in high esteem by his many fellow Jews,
because he worked for the good of his people and spoke up for the welfare of
all the Jews. NIV
He was been hated
His time of upliftment was coming; I believe he was waiting for his
divine time.
1. You will be remembered – Est. 6:1-3 “
That night the king could
not sleep; so he ordered the book of the chronicles, the record of his
reign, to be brought in and read to him. 2 It was found recorded there that Mordecai had exposed Bigthana and
Teresh, two of the king's officers who guarded the doorway, who had conspired
to assassinate King Xerxes. 3 "What
honor and recognition has Mordecai received for this?" the king
asked. "Nothing
has been done for him," his attendants answered. NIV
Joseph was far forgotten in prison because his time for divine
upliftment was not due but when his time came God made Pharaoh’s cup bearer to
remember Joseph.
When God remembered Noah, he brought him out of the ark [confined,
limitation]
When God remembered Rachel and Hannah, he opened their womb,
When God remembered Mephibosheth
he lifted he high, may you be remembered by
God
2. Your enemies will plan for your upliftment – Est. 6:4-9
The king said, "Who is in the court?" Now Haman
had just entered the outer court of the palace to speak to the king about
hanging Mordecai on the gallows he had erected for him. 5 His attendants answered, "Haman is standing in the
court." "Bring him in," the king ordered. 6 When Haman entered, the king asked him, "What should be done for the man the king delights to honor?"
Now Haman thought to himself, "Who is there that the king would rather
honor than me?" 7 So he answered the king, "For the man
the king delights to honor, 8 have them bring a royal robe the king has
worn and a horse the king has ridden, one with a royal crest placed on its
head. 9 Then let the robe and horse be entrusted to one of the king's most
noble princes. Let them robe the man the king delights to honor, and lead him
on the horse through the city streets, proclaiming before him, 'This is what is
done for the man the king delights to honor!'" NIV
3. Your enemies will turn to serve you – Est. 6:10- 11
"Go at once," the king commanded Haman. "Get
the robe and the horse and do just as
you have suggested for Mordecai the Jew, who sits at the king's gate.
Do not neglect anything you have recommended." 11 So Haman got the robe and the horse. He robed Mordecai, and led
him on horseback through the city streets, proclaiming before him, "This
is what is done for the man the king delights to honor!" NIV
4. God will use the
friends of your enemies to prophecy for you
– Est. 6:13-14
His advisers and his wife Zeresh said to him, "Since
Mordecai, before whom your downfall has started, is of Jewish origin, you cannot stand against him — you will surely come to ruin!"
NIV
This same thing happen when king Balak hired Balaam the
prophet to come and prophecy against the people of God, God use the friend of
the enemy of Israel to prophecy for His children.
5. What your enemies plan for you will come to
themselves
–Est. 7:9-10
9 Then Harbona, one of the eunuchs attending
the king, said, "A gallows seventy-five feet high stands by Haman's house. He had it made for Mordecai, who
spoke up to help the king." The king said, "Hang him on it!" 10 So they hanged Haman on the gallows he had
prepared for Mordecai.
NIV

Haman, the enemy of the Jews. And Mordecai came into the presence of the king,

Haman, and presented it to Mordecai. And Esther
appointed him [Mordecai] over Haman's estate. NIV
7. You will be counted among the royals – Est. 8:2, 15
The king took off his
signet ring, which he had reclaimed from Haman, and presented it to
Mordecai. 15 Mordecai left the king's
presence wearing royal garments of blue and white, a large crown of gold and a purple robe of fine linen. NIV

your enemies – Est. 9:3
And all the rulers of the provinces, and the lieutenants,
and the deputies, and officers of the king, helped the Jews; because the fear of Mordecai fell upon
them. KJV
11.
You will become very great in the land of your enemies – Est. 9:4
For Mordecai was great
in the king's house, and his fame went
out throughout all the provinces: for this man Mordecai waxed greater and greater. KJV
12.
Your story will change – Est. 10:3
Mordecai the Jew was second
in rank to King Xerxes, preeminent
among the Jews, and held in high
esteem by his many fellow Jews, because he worked for the good of his
people and spoke up for the welfare of all the Jews. NIV
